The Two Marguerites
Coming soon in English
Ethics and religious culture
Marguerite Bourgeoys and Marguerite d’Youville each founded a religious community and were committed to the needs of others. The social engagement of these two women who lived in different periods has contributed to the development of our society.
Following a guided rally format, the students will discover the Marguerite Bourgeoys Museum and the Maison de Mère d’Youville in a walking tour of Old Montreal past places of significance to these two pioneer women.
The Two Marguerites activity offers a reflection on our religious history and culture and in so doing addresses the heritage left to us by former generations and their impact on today’s society.
